About OUR ROOMS
Three light and airy ensuite rooms, each with a double bed. An ideal place to stay in Hove.
Our rooms are located above our small traditional pub in the heart of Hove just 100 metres from the seafront and its famous 19th century promenade.
The two upper floors were converted to 3 en-suite bed and breakfast rooms in 2011.
All of our rooms are upstairs and due to the age and nature of the property they are only accessible via the staircase. Please call us if you need more information on accessibility.

Double bed en-suite.
Room 2

Guest Reviews
Our visit began with a warm greeting by the owner and the pub regulars, instantly felt at home and welcomed. Everyone there was delightful, room was lovely and comfortable with all the amenities we would need for a nice stay. Our room was right above the pub yet we were never disturbed by undue noise.
Everything about this place is cozy, warm and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and we got a duvet each as I asked for. The bathroom nice and enough space and the shower is strong. Breakfast is in fridge and on table in the room. Croissants and cereal, juice and milk. Very close to the sea and restaurants and the lovely pub downstairs with dog and fire place.
Lovely, clean, cozy room and in a great location. Landlady was really nice and super helpful.
Perfect place for a short stay – very clean, staff were helpful and friendly. We had a variety of beverages in our room and a small breakfast which I found lovely! If you’re looking for a classic British experience (staying above the pub!), it’s a perfect place to do so. Highly recommend!
Croissants perfect, soft and flaky, big, warm bed, hot showers, friendly people all around, wifi, maps of the city, close to pubs and restaurants.
Perfect stay! Everything was great! Very clean, cosy, very friendly owners and perfect location! We really enjoyed our stay and they even offered us a vegan option for breakfast with soy milk, bread, cereals, we really appreciated!

From traditional fish and chips to award winning tasting menus (cooked by well known chefs), Hove has it all and it’s all on our doorstep. Of course you can easier get into the City centre, which is equally renowned as a foodie’s delight.
Bars & Lounges
If you want to try something other than our traditional pub, then you wont be disappointed. Secret cocktail lounges, lively pubs and clubs, craft beer and graft gin bars are all within walking (or staggering) distance.
Arts & Culture
Brighton & Hove has long been known for its creative vibe. Each May we host the Brighton Festival and Fringe Festival, during which many artists open their homes for you to view their art. It’s a really popular month so book early if you plan to visit then.
Year round there is always something happening; art galleries and museums, gigs and concerts, street art and theatres – something for everyone guaranteed…
Shows & Entertainment
There’s no shortage of entertainment nearby with The New Venture Theatre and The Old Market within a 5 minute walk of the Bow Street Runner. In the City centre you have the Theatre Royal and Brighton Done which has 3 historic spaces under one roof – Concert Hall, Corn Exchange and Pavilion Theatre and Komedia is situated in North Laine. Added to that a multitude of fringe venues such as The Marlborough, The Brunswick and The Southern Bell. All easily reachable by walking, bus or taxi.
Outdoor & Adventure
With the stunning South Downs and infamous Devil’s Dyke just a 10 minute drive away, you can have as much or as little adventure as you want. Take a drive into the Downs and you’ll see paragliders overhead, go to the beach on a windy day and there’ll be kite surfers and wind surfers galore. For those wanting something tamer (and the sea is calm) you can also paddleboard all the way along to Worthing if you have the staminer, or just enjoy a relaxing round of Pitch and Putt.
Day Trips
Explore the South Downs on foot or bicycle, take a boat trip out to the Rampion Wind Farm, spend a day wandering North Laine, The Lanes and Brighton Palace Pier… Whatever you want to do you can generally do it here. Our staff will of course help you plan your trip if you need us to!
Our location
We are just off the main thoroughfare between Hove and Brighton and only 50 metres from the city bus route which is a favoured form of transport around the city. The City Saver allows you to travel within the city centre all day for a very reasonable price.
We are a 3 minute walk from the beach.
It is a 15 minute walk to the Conference Centre, Brighton Pier, Brighton Pavillion and the Lanes.
Brighton and Hove stations are a 20 minute walk or a £6 - £8 taxi fare.
Parking can be pricey (and a bit limited) as you'd expect for a city location.
